Proctor Funeral Home - Camden Obituary

Brother Arthur Jo Ross was born December 27, 1964 in Camden, AR to the late R.T. Ross and Oda Mae Criner Ross.  As a child he was raised in Mt Zion Methodist AME Church, where he gave his life to Christ at a young age.  He gracefully completed his earthly race on June 1, 2024.

Arthur was a graduate of Fairview High School of Camden, AR.  Class of 1983.  Arthur and Regina Stith met and they married on September 6, 1985. Arthur and Regina went on to have 4 children, Frenchie, Ka’ Portia, Arthur (AJ) and Joseph during their time of matrimony. Shortly after he enlisted into the US Army, then Arthur attends vocational school where he obtained his certifications in autobody and mechanics.  He later worked to pursue an entrepreneurship and obtained his own autobody shop in honor of his late son and life’s work; AJ Ross Body and Glass.

Once in retirement he spent his time utilizing his many skills developed over the years to teach and mentor the younger generation.  Enriching with them simple advice, a listening ear, just being the person, they could call and ask the question no matter how big or small. He was known for always having a joke to lighten any situation.  But a wisdom that one would stop to just listen when he spoke.  Arthur continued to work independently alongside his brothers on autobody work and to educate with over 40+ yr skill of experience at while assisting at Bubba’s Body Shop in Magnolia, AR.  The memory of Arthur is one that will be truly written in time as a man with a good heart.  Even with his flaws he tried to be a foundation for friends and family alike. A great man has been called home and will be missed. Arthur was a person with a caring heart as big as a house and claimed every person he met as a friend.

He was preceded in death by his parents: R.T. and Oda Mae; three brothers: Gary Ross, Fredrick Ross, and Roy Ross; two sisters: Eva Ross and Sarah Davis; son: Arthur (AJ) Ross; grandson: Mboya Marks.
