One memory that Deb and I will always carry with us about Art and Patti is the trip we took to Bermuda while we were both working for Wickes Lumber. The island is British ruled and they drive on the other side of the street. Our prayers go out to the entire Sand family as they deal with their loss. Art was a great friend and mentor and I will always remember the good times we had together. Rest in peace my friend!

Art was more than a decent man, he was a real gentleman and considerate of others. He showed incredible courage in dealing with his illness. The world would be a better place if people were more like Art. I always immensely enjoyed being in his company. My deepest condolences to Art's family.

Pat, I read in the paper this morning that your husband had passed on. I want to send you my sympathy and I remember you from AAUW years ago.

Uncle Art, my life will never be the same without you being a phone call away. You have always been a strength and wise word in my life. I will miss you more than you know.
