A Legend in our industry! Often think of Art Stock

Wow playpen south was so amazing started going there in 1973 bless you Art for your ability to create these amazing clubs.

Love your Eulogy Tara - it was perfect. Can't believe it's almost 10 years since he's been gone. So many names I recognize have paid their respects here and it brings back great memories. I was lucky to work for Art at several of his clubs in Florida and NJ and he taught me things I still remember today, nearly 40 years later. He was and is legendary. Condolences to the entire family.

Art,thank you for all the great memories of the many nights spent at The Playpen South,my friends and I used to drive up to Ft.Lauderdale from Coral Gables quite often with The Playpen being our main destination. Your name will be forever intertwined with the young crowds and late night entertainment culture of Ft.Lauderdale during the 1980s.May you Sleep in Peace my friend in God's Eternal Kingdom

Can't think of summer without the name Art Stock. His many clubs bring back memories of sun and surf and great bands. He will always be remembered! Prayers to Kelly and Tara.

I'd like to communicate with Doc Murphy who wrote this tribute to Arthur H. Stock. He mentioned The Colonel's Garter in Kingston, PA. I'm writing a book about the time I taught at Wiles College in 1969-70 and I used to go to The Colonel's Garter. I'd like to get more details about the bar and club. Please contact me at [email protected].

I worked for Art at the Colonel's Garter in Kingston, Pa. I worked for him for four years while attending college, 68-72.

Art was a GREAT guy. We spent many long-night hours drinking Dewer's. 'still drink it and from time to time think about Art...

Dear Tara, Kelly Ann and Sean,
It has been 4 years since your Dad passed, and you may not even see this message, but Mr. Stock was very important to my family and I felt I must pay tribute to his memory.
Art met my Dad back in the 40's when Art was a little kid watching my Dad play baseball in Sea Girt. Then much later my Dad worked for Art at the Royal Manor and the Sea Girt Inn. This part-time job really helped us get through some hard times in the late 60's and early 70's. The I...
