Arthur F. Usher Sr

On behalf of my family I would like extend our deepest heartfelt condolenses to the Usher family. Growing up and going to school with Champ, Cheryl, Charles, and Stanley afforded me the priviledge of knowing Mr Arthur and Ms Dot. These warm relationships left me with many fund memories. I am deeply saddened by the loss.

TO THE WHOLE USHER FAMILY MY HEART AND PRAYERS GO OUT TO YOU DURING THIS VERY DIFFICULT TIME---I WANT TO THANK MR. USHER AND MS DOROTHY FOR BEING MY EXTENDED MOM AND POP FOR MANY YEARS. DURING MY EARLY YEARS I WOULD SPEND MANY DAYS AND HOURS AT THE HOUSE WITH THE FAMILY BECAUSE OF MY EXTREMELY CLOSE RELATIONSHIPS WITH MY FRIEND AND BROTHER ARTHUR USHER JR.(CHAMP) AND HIS SISTER CHERYL WITH WHOM I GRADUATED. THE WHOLE FAMILY EXCEPTED ME AND I WILL FOREVER BE GRATEFUL TO THEM. MAY GOD CONTINUE...

As I write this letter to the family, I am reflecting on the many times I was blessed by the the angelica voice of Arthur. I reflect on Whites Chapel Senior Choir as it was called back in the day and the memories of seeing you pick that quitar, pat your feet, wave your hands and strut your stuff around the choir. Those memories will forever be etched in my heart. I know that you are probably the lead soloist in heaven and you probably told my Aunt Mag to play "Just a Closer Walk with Thee"...

May the love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

Dad, I am so glad you and Mama Dot adopted us. There aren't many people I will allow to call me Polly; but you were one of them. It was a priviledge to sing with you on the few occasions that we had the opportunity. You always teased that you weren't going to let me go next time because I showed out. You were the voice that could never be duplicated. The voice that rang out at White's Chapel for so many years. Some wonder who will to take your place? No one can. As you prance around heaven...

OUR REGRETS GO TO THE WHOLE USHER FAMILY, MY FAMILY THE WAITES FROM FLAT ROCK AT ONE POINT WE WERE ALL JOINED TOGETHER AS 1 BIG CHURCH FAMILY. GOD BLESS THE USHER FAMILY AT THIS TIME OF SORROW.

I will truly miss Mr Usher. One of our songbirds has gone on to sing in the heavenly choir. I will miss hearing his singing. Everyone who knew him will miss him dearly.

TO MAMA DOT,I AM REALLY SADDENED OF MY FRIEND WHICH I CALL POP. HE IS IN HEAVEN SINGING AND HAVING GOOD TIME. I AM SO GLAD WE HAD THAT PROGRAM FOR HIM LAST YEAR, SO BE STRONG AND KEEP PRAYING. I LOVE YOU AND GOD LOVES YOU. MS LAURA
