Arthur Villalobos Obituary

Arthur E. Villalobos

Arthur E. Villalobos was born on May 12, 1933 to Felipe Villalobos and Belen Estrada in Indio, California. He was one of 10 children. In 1953 Arthur met and married Emily Carranza and from this union they had four children, Cynthia, Beverly, Arthur and Deborah. Arthur served in the U.S. Army, 82nd air-borne division. He worked as a carpenter for over 15 years and was in the Carpenters Union 1146. In 1963 they moved to Banning and made it their home. Art was very involved within the Banning community. He was a Scout Leader and was a member of the Banning Booster Association. He was a founding father of the Banning Sportsman's Club in which he served for over 50 years and is considered a "lifelong member". Art coached and managed baseball for over 40 years in the little league baseball association and was appointed as an honorary executive board member for Banning Little League. Art was an avid hunter and fisherman. He traveled as far as Montana, Canada and Colorado. When his children were young he would make it a family trip. His friends and family call him "Tudy". He was an inspiration to so many people. If you came to the Villalobos house he would say "if you go home hungry that's your fault". He had a contagious smile and his eyes would lighten up a room. Art loved his children greatly but when the grandchildren came into the world, he found a new love. His teaching for all his grandchildren was to be strong and to never quit. His legacy will continue in his children and grandchildren. He will be greatly missed. Preceding his death: his parents, Antonia Revera, Manuel Villalobos, Pedro Villalobos, Josefina Villalobos Vega, Isabell Villalobos Garcia, Pablo Villalobos, Lupe Villalobos and Ramon Villalobos. He leaves in memory his wife of 62 years his best friend his love of his life Emily Villalobos, Cynthia Perez of Banning, Calif., Beverly & Julian Quinones of Banning, Arthur & Beth Villalobos of Corona and Debbie & Maurice Crain of Hemet, Calif. His grandchildren, Julian Quinones, Juliana Quinones, Anthony Craig, Jennette Quinones, Philip Craig, Ashlee Oldenkamp, Angel Perez, Zacharias Villalobos, Phillip Perez, David Perez, Amelia Villalobos & Arthur Villalobos; 14 great grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews. Sorry to hear of tudys passing. I have known the Villalobos/Garcia family for
Most of my life. I had to laugh when I read about his saying, if you left his home Hungry it was your fault, because his Mother and one of his sisters (Isabel) would say the same thing when you went to visit. I pray that the memories of tudy will get you all thru this very difficult time.
May he RIP.
