Art was truly one of a kind. I considered both him and his amazing wife Pat as my second parents. Their wisdom and input into my life helped me to understand how to be a better person, and for that I am forever thankful. People like them only come around once in a lifetime and I am grateful that I had the opportunity to know them both.

Another Lowell icon has passed. I have great memories of Art coming to our house to fix my parents old Black & White television and riding my bike past his shop on the river in the 1960's. The story about the closed sign to go watch a game is classic. Thank you for sharing it. My sympathies to all the family.
