I will remember Artie by his broad smile and his enthusiasm for all he did. He was a great astrophysicist who really enjoyed his work and sharing his ideas with others. Many of those memories go back over forty-five years when we shared an office, and our ideas in the Physics Department at UCSD. Greatly saddened to hear of his death, I send deep condolences to his family.
