Not sure what to say?

Art was a fixture in my life, just as he was in so many other lives. Art seemed as timeless, and as beautiful,as the granite that surrounds us all here on The River. You know in your head that people pass,as does all of nature, and yet, the heart does not admit this truth. Now confronted, my heart feels the passing to another realm of some of the warmth and light of our lives.

To Larry, Mark and Jean - Art was all things to all people with a deep sense of love for life!! He taught me soo much of how to appreciate life and especially what I had in the islands. He volunteered before you even knew it was needed!! We will miss him more than we know now! Our deepest sympathy to you all. Bob, Betsy, Deane & Family, and Glenn. His spirit will be with us always!!!!!

I remember your dad so well . I am from Axeman and we there - third or fourth generation ' Axemaniacs ' - remember Troughton for most years before your dad as an empty island with a solitary charred chimmney where no one ever went . He sure brought life to the island and to ALL of us in our group of islands and beyond . A true River Rat as they say ! He will sure be mssed . I ' m sorry you lost your dad . Please extend my condolences to Larry , others in your wonderful family .
