SPRINGFIELD - Artis "Art" Brown, 58, of Springfield died Tuesday, March 4, 2008, at his residence.

He was born Feb. 24, 1950, in Springfield, the son of Robert Brown and Louise Jones.

Art served in the U.S. Navy and was a member of American Legion Post 809.

To the Family Of Arties Brown and Yvonne and Travis: Im am deeply sorry for the lost of art, my heart and prays goes out to the family. Art was a very special man and i will miss him very much!

I was deeply saddened to hear of Artie's passing. He was a gentle, kind soul and will be missed. We all could take a page from his patience and understanding.
