Frye Chapel & Mortuary of Blythe - Blythe Obituary

Arturo Cano was called to rest on June 28, 2020.  He was born on February 5, 1952, in  Nogales, Sonora, Mexico to Francisco and Amalia Cano.  He came to Blythe in 1968 to follow the American dream.

He worked at River View Farms, Arkalean Farms and High and Mighty Farms.  He married his sweetheart, Delfina on November 5, 1974.

In 1994 he began a new job at Palo Verde Unified SChool District in Food Services.  He really loved his job and the people he worked with there.  He went on to retire in 2009 and began his 2nd phase in life enjoying his wife and grandchildren.  Arturo had many hobbies, but his most favorite was playing softball with his old time buddies.

He was a wise man, one that had his opinions and was not afraid to speak them.  He was kind and caring to those who knew him.

Arturo is survived by his wife, Delfina, children Art Cano (Tawney), Ernesto Cano (Leticia), Sergio Cano, Paulina Santiago, the late Francisco 'Pancho' Cano (Adreanna), Arturo Cano II (Alexis), Daniel Cano and many grandchildren, nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Friday, July 3rd starting at 8:00 a.m. at Frye Chapel, Rosary will be at 9:00 a.m. and Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church.

Please note that certain restrictions still apply at all places where services are held and face masks are required.
