Not sure what to say?

Condolences to Art's family from the City of Grand Rapids Development Center. Many of us in the Planning and Building Departments worked with Art over the years. His skills were especially helpful to those in the Spanish-speaking community and we know he will be missed.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Art was a friend and coworker. He was always generous with his engineering abilities and advice.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. Art will always be remembered as one of the good guys. He was a friend who helped me with many projects at the Amway plant. I enjoyed discussing politics with Art and solving some of life's problems along the way.

Art was a co-worker at Amway and a great friend. We had many thoughtful conversations. I admired his compassion for people, and his love for his family. Even though we had differing opinions of the movie “Groundhog Day”, his disdain for the movie inspired many years of Groundhog Day Parties which were enjoyed by many engineering pals from Amway. We will raise a toast to Art on Groundhogs Day, and will remember him always! Our deepest condolences and love to Mary and all who loved him. ...

I worked with Art for several years in the mid-1990’s in the Facilities Engineering Department at Amway. With his sense of humor he was one of the people in a great group who made it fun to go to work. In those days I remember we would go to lunch somewhere outside the Amway facility almost every day. When I would suggest we go to the Taco Boy restaurant on Plainfield Avenue, Art would always respond jokingly “you calling me Taco Boy?.” Unfortunately, I didn’t see Art as much after leaving...

It was a privilege to have know Art as a co-worker at Amway and for years after as a friend.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow.
