Family, friends of Art. My good friend often would call to meet and go over his just completed job and the prospects of the next, excited for each. Always bringing up his love of his life Susan, his kids now grown and of course his dear Mom. I had the fortune to have grown up along Art's side and he never let you forget about his older brother each time his Mom invited us in from the hot hot days of summer.
Each time I enter a favorite spot of Art's I expect his great greeting and...

To Art's children,
I knew your dad and your mom since our days at McAllen High School. But I lost touch with them after we graduated. Within the last couple of years I would run into your dad occasionally and we would sit and remember our high school memories. He had a wonderful sense of humor and most of all was so proud of you. He loved you very much. You have an Angel watching over you. May God Bless You always.
To Susan,
My heartfelt sympathy goes out...

To Art's family: I have just returned to town to hear this terrible news. I spoke with Art just before his death by phone. Art befriended me, a total stranger two years ago in McAllen, and started a two year friendship that I will always cherish. His infectious humor, politeness, and love of life was so endearing. We would often meet for drinks and watch a game. I will miss him so much.

To Susan and family,
You are in our thoughts and prayers. May God give you strength and comfort.
We've only known Art a short while, but having gotten to know him over the last several months, we know that his family was always important to him. He always spoke about his mom, Susan, and his kids. He was an honest, generous soul, and we are blessed to have known him. He will be missed.

What can I say about Art that hasn't been said. He was a great person, father, husband, and son...he was my friend. He will be greatly missed. My thoughts are with his wife and kids. May you find peace knowing he's in a better place.
