Asa Jonathan Berkowitz

Joan. Jonathan and Rachel. My truly deepest sympathies. I always enjoyed Asa's company and our conversations. When at the same event we always sought each other out. A great guy and neighbor. We left Guilford 12 years ago and Asa comes to mind from time to time and always will. Take care and be well

I am very saddened to read of Asa's
passing. We were fellow New Havenites feeling lucky to be at Yale. We lived in the same college, JE.
He was a very dear friend in that short span of college. We rode tripped like most college men. Our longest trip was a nonstop trip to Miami over spring break hosted by some of Asa's high school friends. Our budget for that trip was $100.
Our time was so many many years ago.
Rest in peace my friend.

It is with shock and sadness that I learn of Asa's passing. He was a great guy and a true friend. My most heartfelt condolences to his family . May his memory always be a blessing.

To the family of Asa: I am one of the lucky ones who came into Asa's orbit through the steel industry. He made a lifelong impression on me; it was truly a privilege to know him. He had an uncanny way of making all of us better at what we did. He will be missed greatly. Please accept my condolences.

Asa and I have been in the same orbit since Junior High School. We also both spent more than 40 years in the steel industry , 15 of those years working together at The Eastern Steel & Metal Co.. I have the most profound respect for his passion and intellect.
