What a great guy and mentor as I progressed through baseball. From Woodruff, he coached me on Pabst team, and even after one Sunday Morning league game , drove me at rocket speed to Galesburg to play in an American Legion game. I was the guy that threw the rising fastball when he didn’t get the glove up fast enough, and ball hit him between his eyes and was totally out on home plate. It scared me so. Debbie my sincere condolences to you and your family. I remember your dad from the Stadium club. Your dad was there doing a marketing deal for Budweiser. What a riot that guy was! He had the whole place in stitches. I was laughing so hard at some of his jokes I was crying! A super nice guy that everyone enjoyed being around.
