Not sure what to say?

I miss you after these years. You were a safe place for me. Life was hard. You took me in like a little sister and always checked on me. Gave my brother a friend when he had to leave all his. My sister a nice welcome to a new life and high school. I am glad I had you in mine for such a short time.

Dear Faris Family,
Ashley was one of the first people I met when I started at Parkwood back in 1994. I had just moved to NC, but he made me feel right at home. He was such a lovable and wonderful guy. He made me smile again after being so sad from having to leave all my friends behind. I feel very lucky for having had the chance to know him. Words cannot express how very sorry I am for your loss.

Melvin and Grace - I am so sorry about the loss of your son. We will
be keeping you in our thoughts and prayers.

Am so saddened by the news of Ashley's death. Such a tragedy! You all are in my prayers.

Dear members of Ashley's family;
Like the others who have written I was glad to know Ashley. He took a class with me just this Spring, and in a class of 120 he stood out as someone who was working hard to take charge of his learning and his life. I admired him and I miss him very much.
I wanted to let you know that several of his professors here at UNC Charlotte are sending a contribution to the diabetes council as requested in Ashley's obituary.
With all best wishes as...

Dear Melvin,

Your tragedy exceeds anything that I could imagine. As the mother of an only child, you have my deepest sympathy. Casey is 20 now and a rising junior at Appalachian. Every day, I am thankful that she is alive - but now am reminded from your experience, how fragile life is. Mom and Dad are fine. Craig and I are retired and I keep in touch with Carol Steele Grier and Mary Ellen. If you get this message, please let me know your contact info.

I know that...

I was sad to hear of Ashley's passing. I worked with him on and off for three years at Rafferty's restaurant and can still see him begging for tables with that big smile on his face. He was always a great person to be around and I am sure that he will be missed by many. To his family and wife, I hope you all know what a great person he was and realize that no one will ever forget the impact he made on their lives.
With my deepest sympathy.

To Ashley's parents and Dori,
I was away and only just returned to hear this devastating news. Ashley was a student in two of my English classes at UNCC, a fiction-writing and a film course. I feel sure no teacher could forget having him as a student. I remember being clearly struck by the fact that Ashley, as what we call a non-traditional student, was going through the experience of loving the challenge of learning. Since some time ago I was a non-traditional student myself (which is...
