I'd not had the privilege to cross paths with Ashley since we graduated high school, but I remember her to be such a sweet, pure soul with heart of gold. As I read her journals, it is clear that she was just as I remembered. Ashley was a brave, incredible woman with so much strength and determination. I am so inspired by her courage and fight. She has truly left a lasting impression on this world.
My heart goes out to you and your family. You will continue to be in my thoughts...

I am heart-broken over your loss. I have been honored getting to really know Ashley in the short time I did. To me, she epitomizes everything about life: passion, intensity, commitment and determination! I see that in everyone of you. That is what I will always remember and that is what I will celebrate. Her life. You guys are tremendous and my heart goes out to all of you during this time.

I first remember seeing Ashley at the lighting of the tree ceremony for Breast Cancer awareness at TCMC where I work. I was struck by her courageous spirit and her willingness to not shy away from the fight of her life. She later became a pretty regular patient for us in Radiology, yet she never lost her spirit. I am sorry for your loss, but know she was a true inspiration for those she came into contact with.
