Not sure what to say?

Bruce & Marsha,
I know from personal experience that one year in the loss of a child can feel like an eternity, and yet the pain still feels as if tragedy struck only yesterday. My daughter Kelly also attended Simis & Meadows, and I know the girls played in RAMMS together. Kelly lives in San Francisco now, and of course was deeply saddened when she learned of Ashlyn's accident last year. Just yesterday she was taking a walk around the Presidio and came upon the memorial there. It...

Dear Bruce and Marsha,
We were heartbroken when we heard the news of Ashlyn's accident. The last time we saw you and Ashlyn was at her graduation from USC, when my son was also graduating. What a happy day for all. She was a beautiful girl. I can't begin to imagine how you both must feel but please know that you are in our hearts and prayers.Ashlyn is now your guardian angel. With lots of affection and sympathy, Nilsa and Roy Brugman

Please know that friends from the past are also surrounding you at this time and always...

I never met Ashlyn. Although I know people that have. I heard about her tragic accident from a woman at work. It moved me then. I then heard of her from another "fallen angels” Legacy guestbook signing. My friend Tracy's died 3 years ago also too soon. Someone that knew Tracy also knew Ashlyn. Her parting has touched me today. I recall the pain, the uncomfortable moments; keep the memories alive, talk of her as if she is still with us... because she is. They never leave.

I remember Ashlyn playing with Megan Murphy and I when we all went to Simis and Meadows-her smile and vibrant personality, Taryn driving me to school at Xavier, your family has always been a blessing and your daughter will continue to be in our hearts forever...

Dear Marsha and Bruce,
We want you to know you are in our thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.
Judy and Joel Zaft

My heart is breaking for you and your family this evening. When I learned the news and had to call my daughter, Bethany, in Ventura to tell her, I knew she would be devastated. At their young age, death is not often on their minds. When something so tragic as Ashlyn's death happens, it brings us all around to the reality of the fragility of life. May all of us learn from this sad event and cherish every moment that we have with our children. My thoughts are with you at this time.

Dear Marsha and Bruce,
I was so very sorry to hear about your precious Ashlyn. Please know that she has been in my thoughts and prayers, as have you.
Love,
Pauline

My prayers are offered up for you and your family. Rest in peace, Ashlyn.
