your kentucky derby drinks with all the fresh mint from your garden made us feel as if we were in the blue grass state ... and i'd get you to snicker when i sang: ... MY OLD KENTUCKY HOME, 'Tis summer, the people are GAY? i must of hit that last note a little...

I met Astri Reusch in the eighties designing the interiors of suburban office buildings in Montréal. I convinced developers to install art pieces in the lobbies of their new buildings, thus encouraging local artists.


By contacting the cultural department of the government of Québec, I met Maurice Achar who showed me the creations of a few Québec artists so that I could organize a small competition between three selected artists. They each presented a "maquette" of their proposal...

I am so sad to hear of Astri's passing. She was a beautiful spirit and soul, kind and loving, and oh, so talented. My deepest sympathies to her loving husband, Sam. Astri, may you rest in peace and give us strength and courage from up above. The angels are blessed to have you among them. In my heart.

Dear Sam,
They're no words to comfort you at this time. Please just know you are in our thoughts and hearts. Astri was a very special person and its too bad I only met her 3.5 years ago under such strained circumstances. She will always be in my heart.
