Not sure what to say?

What fond memories I have of Athelia! She was the first person I contacted when I moved to town in 1974 when she was president of the Kansas City MO/Shawnee Mission KS Alumnae Club of Pi Beta Phi. She enthusiastically welcomed me and invited me to attend the very next meeting. Over the years, we made several road trips together to Arrowmont School of Arts & Crafts, and participated together in numerous philanthropic endeavors. She cared deeply for her family and friends, and will be...

My condolences in memory of Athelia Clingan to her children, Sandy, Scott, Kim, Marcia, their spouses and their children.
Athelia is remembered by her active and adventurous life- we should all be that advanced and willing.
Regards,
Jack Mott

Athelia was a lovely woman and a wonderful Pi Phi! Her constant support and leadership helped make the Kansas City/Shawnee Mission Alumnae Club the strong and successful club it is today. She is a true "Angel" now. Ring Ching to Athelia!!

Please know my thoughts and prayers are with you all as you celebrate the life of Athelia. She was an inspiration to me and a joy to know and I know she will be missed by many. Love, peace and comfort to Sandy, Scott, Kim and Marcia and your families as you journey through your loss.
Much Love,

The good years are never long enough and certainly shortened for Athelia in her long illness.
I so enjoyed my many brief visits with this great gal in Houston, Colorado and Kansas City. She had so many interests and her intensity in all things was made apparent in her beautiful needle work. I have missed her since her illness began.
Athelia has left a wonderful legacy... YOU, her beautiful, accomplished family. Continue to pass along her many gifts.
May your many happy memories...

My family and I will miss Athelia's warmth and grace. As we initially integrated into the Kansas City community many years ago, Athelia and the rest of the Clingan family were wonderful ambassadors and became life-long friends. My sincere condolences.

Our thoughts and prayers go out to all of your family in the loss of your Mom. She was obviously a great person and friend to you all.

Athelia was a dear friend and wonderful neighbor in Mission Woods. We have lived in Venice, FL for 22 years, but will eventually be buried at Newcomer's in Overland Park. We may be neighbors again. Ann & Dick Dodderidge

Athelia and I were Pi Phi pledges together. I loved her dearly.
