Athena Dorsey-Kautz

I can't believe Athena has been in Heaven for 13 years. I met her at the Phoenix post office in the early 80's when I was there on a visit. Always pleasant and ALWAYS smiling.

I met Athena when she worked for the US Postal Service during one of my visits to Phoenix. I saw her, to say hello, about every time I went to Phoenix. She was always happy and smiling. I saw her once again at a good friend's wedding in Billings MT, and we recognized each other immediately. We were old friends, pick up where we left off. It was a great visit. I can't believe it has been eleven yeans since she went to be with God. I still miss her.

In death we do the same.

It broke our hearts to lose you.

For part of us went with you one year ago today (Feb 28th).

Thank you for leaving us all with beautiful memories and always remaining at our sides.

Dearest Athena’s Dennis,
Its Christmas morn and my thoughts and prayers come quickly for you. Today is the day we celebrate God’s gift to the world, the birth of His only begotten son, Jesus. That love and final loss our Father God suffered when He gave the precious gift of His son to the world to be saved is almost unfathomable. But that’s love. Unconditional. Deep. Forever.

I picture your Athena, waking up and urging you along to get up and out and...

As 2008 comes to a close and we celebrate this holiday season thoughts of your Mom are so strong. This was one of her favorite times of the year. I know she would tell us that she is spending Christmas with Jesus this year.

I think back to the time that she talked you both into being a part of the singing Christmas tree at church....this year she is a part of the ultimate choir up there. Our ski trips, looking at lights, and her tradition of opening presents slowly...

Dear Athena’s Dennis, Family and Friends,

Today we remember that 7 months ago, yours and our Athena took her flight on angel’s wings straight up to the gates of Heaven and ushered in with joy, love, happiness, healing and peace. We think of her there, and know that Love is surrounding her in the Spirit of the Most High God. Amazing thought. No greater Love do we have then what HE gives us, and to be in his presence…oh my…our mind can not even fathom the wonder...
