Seale Funeral Service - Denham Springs Obituary

Aubrey Lee Quimby, 72, of Denham Springs, LA passed away on Friday, March 23, 2018. Aubrey served and defended his country in the 101st Airborne Screaming Eagles in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. In his spare time, he loved to fish, hunt and cook for his family and friends. Aubrey was a humble and strong man that was a dedicated husband, daddy, Paw Paw, brother, uncle, and friend. He will be missed dearly by all who knew him. Visitation will be held at Seale Funeral Home, Denham Springs, on Tuesday, March 27, from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Visitation will resume on Thursday, March 29, at New Hope Apostolic Church, Sicily Island, LA on Hwy 8, from 12 p.m. until service at 1 p.m. Burial will follow at Highland Cemetery, Sicily Island, LA. Pallbearers will be Lee Quimby, Jeff King, Josh King, Jerry Neal, Jimmy Riley, Mark Holly, Bruce Holly, Daniel Riley. Honorary pallbearers will be Bo Flint and Derrik Riley He is survived by his wife, Dorothy Riley Quimby; daughter and son-in-law, Nikki and Jeff King; son and daughter-in-law, Lee Quimby and Renee; grandchildren, Brandi and Jerry Neal, Lizzie Quimby, Josh King and wife Haleigh, Zeke Goodwin, Andrew Goodwin, and Brayden King; great-grandchildren, Kylee Neal, Jordy Neal, Brookelynn King; and Wyatt King; brothers and sisters, Ed Quimby, Ralph "Butch" Quimby, Barbara Mason, Earl Riley, Jimmy Riley, and Sheila Meinke; three very special nieces, Pam Hayes, Janet Taylor, and Debbie Bolton; his lifelong friends, Bo and Mary Kaye Flint; as well as numerous other nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Emma Lee Thompson Quimby; and siblings, Alice Smith, Bonnie McCurley, and Johnny Dalton.
