My deepest condolences to Ann and the rest of the family. Dale and I participated in the t rights demonstrations in 1963. I was on the faculty, he was a graduate student. We were arrested on the same day and spent a night in jail together. I have always admired Dale's unwavering support of civil rights and human rights. He was an inspiration and will be missed. Dale was a colleague of mine in the Economics department at SU. Dale was an excellent economist, but an even better human being. His consistent quiet, gentle integrity served as a role model for me in my own career.
