Audie P. "Jay" Simpkins Jr., 73, a resident of Santa Fe, Texas, since 1983, husband of Wanda, passed from this life, surrounded my his loving and devoted family, at UTMB on the afternoon of Tuesday, April 11, 2000, following a battle with cancer. Viewing is scheduled for Friday, April 14, 2000, 6-9 p.m., at Hayes Funeral Home, 10412 Highway 6, Hitchcock, Texas. Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, April 15, at 2 p.m., officiated by the Rev. Dwayne Rouse. Interment will follow funeral services at Grace Memorial Park Cemetery.
