Audrey Nadina Fauver Fahnestock, 82, of Frederick County, Virginia, died Thursday, December 7, 2006, in Berryville, Virginia.
Mrs. Fahnestock was born February 13, 1924, in Winchester, Virginia, the daughter of Harry and Nellie Brill Fauver. Mrs. Fahnestock was a homemaker.
She married Kenneth Fahnestock on April 6, 1941, in Hagerstown, MD.
Surviving with her husband of sixty-five years, are her daughters, Lettie Cooley and her husband, Paul, of Sterling, Virginia: Bonnie McIntire and her husband Donald, of Frederick County, Virginia; a son, Terry Fahnestock and wife, Ruth, of Frederick County, Virginia, a son, Jeff Fahnestock and his wife, Susan, of Winchester, Virginia. Also surviving are grandchildren Thressa Meadows and husband Larry of Winchester, Zach Pingley of Winchester, Jeff Pingley of Front Royal, Virginia, Natalie James and husband Frank of Gaithersburg, MD, Shannon Lockhart and husband Scott of Frederick County, Stacy Snapp and husband Mike of Frederick County, Heather Fahnestock and Jason Fahnestock of Frederick County.
She is also survived by step-grandchildren, Scott and Stephanie Funkhouser, Greg Poe and wife Nicole; her great-grandchildren, T. J. Catlett and wife Stephnie of Winchester, David Catlett of Winchester, Adam Pingley of Winchester, Jack Pingley of Winchester, Michael Pingley of Front Royal, Collin James of Gaithersburg, MD, Whitney and Katie Lockhart, Kristle and Cody Snapp; great-great-grand-daughters Brielle and Haylie Catlett of Winchester, VA; step-great-grandchildren, Jesse and Christopher Poe, Cote Funkhouser, and Darin and Danielle Alexander. Her sister, Varsella Pitcock, of Frederick County, Virginia; brothers, Herman Fauver and Harry Fauver, Jr., both of Frederick County, Virginia, and Pete Fauver, of Winchester, Virginia, also survive.
One son, Rickie Fahnestock; two sisters, Glenna Arnold, Marie Anderson; two brothers, Marco "Shorty" Fauver and Rodney Fauver, and a half-brother, Cecil Fauver, preceded her in death.
A graveside service will be conducted at 2:00 PM on Sunday, at Mount Olive Cemetery, Hayfield, Virginia.
The family will receive friends on Saturday evening from 7:00 - 9:00 PM at Omps Funeral Home, Amherst Chapel.
