AUDREY MAE (ROBERTS) MINTZ, 74 ROCKFORD - Audrey Mae (Roberts) Mintz, 74, of Rockford died peacefully Tuesday, April 26, 2011, at home, surrounded by her family. Born June 15, 1936, in Oshkosh, Wis., the daughter of Leonard and Isabelle (Anderson) Roberts. Audrey graduated from Harlem High School, Class of 1954. She worked at Barber-Colman and Septran. Audrey was a devoted, loving wife, mother and grandmother. She enjoyed reading, playing games and doing crafts. Audrey married Donald F. Mintz on June 12, 1961. Survivors include sons, Scott Mintz, Stephen Mintz and Stuart Mintz; daughter, Stacy (Mintz) Hill; sons-in-law, Tim Hill and Tom Carter; grandchildren, Hannah Mintz, Riley Hill, Jacob Hill, Kayla Mintz, Liam Mintz and Kal Mintz; sister, Sandra Kenney. Predeceased by husband; parents; brother, Donald; and sisters, Charlotte and Hazel. A heartfelt thank- you to Sara, Jodi and Becky from Hospice Care of America. A special thank you to family friends, Nancy and Gloria. Memorial service at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 7, at Advantage Funeral & Cremation Services, 7000 W. State St. A gathering of friends and family will be one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.
