AGE: 80 • Allentown

Audrey Ruth Mount (nee Everett), 80 of Allentown, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2016 at Capital Health Systems - Fuld. Born on the family farm in Dutch Neck, she was a 1953 graduate of Princeton High School. Audrey moved to Allentown in 1970 and was very active in her community until her death. She ran her business, the Village Stitchery and Gift Shop from her home for many years. Audrey was elected to the Allentown Borough Council and served on the Historic Preservation Review. She was a founding member of the Allentown Business Community Association and a member of the Allentown Village Historical Society.

Daughter of the late David and Hazel Everett, she was predeceased by her brother, Alfred. Audrey is survived by her loving husband of 57 years Arthur V. Mount; two sons and daughters-in-law, Everett A. and LoriSue Mount and Vernon T. and Jo Ann Mount; her grandchildren, Megan Mount, Darren and Ryan Nash, Alyssa Cymbal and Erica and Thomas Ridge; two brothers and a sister-in-law, David "Ron" and Janet Everett and Jeffrey Everett; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Verna and Vernon Holmes and Hazel and William Benscoter and; two sisters-in-law, Shirley Schmitt and Sylvia Borst as well as many loving nieces and nephews.

Funeral Service will be held 11am on Monday, June 6th at the Peppler Funeral Home, 114 S. Main St., Allentown. (www.pepplerfh.com) Interment will be private at a later date. Friends may call Sunday from 2-4 and 6-8pm and again Monday from 10am until the time of service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, PO Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 39101.

Sorry to hear about an old friend and neighbor from DoverLane. Thnking of all of you, Everett, Vernon and Uncle Art.

We wanted to give the entire Mount family our condolences. Aunt Audrey was another mother to me as I was growing up and our families spent so much time together. I will miss her but know I will see her again. I am honored to be finishing her last afghan she was working on when she passed. Aunt Audrey I hope you will like it!
