I knew augie through my parents, steve and phyllis evanoff. augie had this model a or model t, and came over to my parents house to show them the car. it happened to be my 16th birthday, he drove us around a few blocks and had to leave. see the sun was setting and he did not have gas for the headlights!

My deepest sympathy goes out to the entire family in the passing of Mr. Brandt. I worked for Mr. Brandt in Personnel at the Flint Board of Education upon my graduation from high school. He was such a professional in every sense of the word. May God keep you in perfect peace during your time of bereavement.

Mr. Brandt was a great man to have as a neighbor growing up. Always smiling; very friendly to young children like we were at the time. I didn't know how great he was in the eyes of the world and the education community until reading his obituary and the article in the Journal; but as a child, I knew up close what a great man he was. My sincere sympathies to his family.

It has been a great privilege knowing "Augie" Brandt through the years. August and his wife Helen were neighbors of my husband Chuck, Sr.'s parents in passed years. He will be sorely missed. My sincere condolences to his entire family. My Love and Prayers, Mrs. Wanda J. Fenner
