How sad it was to read that Gene had passed away. My memories of him go way back when my Dad was a patrolman in Cleveland on Miles Avenue and East 131st Street (Frank Lang). It was just around the corner from the Carloni home and I can still smell the wonderful spaghetti sauce Mrs. Carloni was cooking when I stopped by to head on to school with Anne.
