Not sure what to say?

I worked with Gus at the CH-UH BOE in Department of Pupil Services. He had such a great since of humor. Jamie Bailey

I just learned of my old friend's passing this year. Gus and I served together in the US Army's basic training at Ft. Leonard Wood, Missouri, in the fall of 1955. We were tent-mates, so we were literally close friends. I regarded Gus, then, as one of the kindest, gentlest persons I've ever known--and I still do. It's wonderful to read of his life of service, but I'm hardly surprised. Good bye old pal. Here's my sharpest salute, though my hand is shaking.

Bob, Beth, Allison and Anthony,
We are sorry to hear of the passing of your Dad and Grandfather. You will all be in our prayers, and we will be thinking about you.
Love you,
Allyn & Phyllis Rose

We are so sorry to hear of Gus' death. He was the kindest and most caring man ever. He was a fine teacher who cared about every student - he wanted them all to succeed ! They broke the mold with Gus - he was the example of a life well lived. He inspired all who knew him to live a life of kindness and compassion. He loved his family , they were his heart. Heaven just got a little brighter.
