August Heigle Obituary

HEIGLE August "Buddy" "Gus" Heigle passed away on Friday, January 25, 2013. Beloved son of the late August J. and Margaret Usner Heigle. Brother of Donald J., Edmund G., Andrew G., and Joey M. Heigle, Gail Marks and June Hoffman. Survived by nieces and nephews, Tammy Johnson (Ron), Debbie Kuylen (Don), Kathleen Achelet (Don), Joy Borne (Al), and Ryan "Bubba" Davis (Cindy.) Also survived by 3 Great nieces and 5 great nephews and 2 great great nieces. Age 71. A graduate of Redemptorist High School. A retired New Orleans Firefighter with 33 years of service. Relatives and friends of the family and the New Orleans Fire Department are invited to attend the funeral service at LAKE LAWN METAIRIE FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL, 5100 Pontchartrain Blvd. on Friday, February 1, 2013 at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in Lake Lawn Park Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 10:00 AM. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Firefighters with Parkinson's, www.firefighterswithparkinsons.net. The family invites you to share your thoughts, fond memories and condolences online at www.lakelawnmetairie.com
