Just this past Sunday, my brother Norm and I were remembering the Apter family and your dog, Freckles.

Sweetest kindest teacher I ever had. She attended my Bar Mitzva. Great person. Great teacher.

My deepest condolences to Matthew, Amy and the whole Apter family. I so fondly remember growing up across the street, playing waffle ball, hanging out and having a fun childhood in our neighborhood. Your mom reminds me of the June Cleaver mom from Leave It To Beaver. She was the rock of the family. Im sure you have wonderful memories of her.

Amy Apter, I'm very sorry for your loss. Your mother sounds like an incredible woman.

a wonderful teacher who inspired me as a child.still remember+use her mathematical methods in every day life .

Mrs. Apter is fondly remembered with much admiration and respect.

i was a student of Ms. Apter at the yeshiva of hartford. when i graduated and was about to enter Weaver High, I was a bit behind to meet the standards of the math classes at Weaver. Consquently, she gave me private lessons (gratis) to bring me up to par. As a result i could meet the standards and did all right. This anecdote just exemplifies her love of her students and how much she cared.
