Not sure what to say?

It's been over two months now and instead of getting better it feels more unreal each day without dad. I miss him more than any words could ever, ever express. I can see from what I've read that no one really looks here anymore so I feel safe letting loose with my feelings. I miss my daddy and I often find it hard to even breath. I know others must have felt this way over death and I know that only time can heal this horrific loss. My dad was an amazing, wonderful person. There was just...

To my family,
It feels like my heart is gone. It is sad to see this chapter in our lives close. His wake and funeral befit a Head of State, and that's exactly what Gus was to all of us. We are blessed to have witnessed the street tribute at the end of April. I am blessed that I made the effort, albeit for 1-1/2 days to get to Cahersiveen, Mike Murts and "Over-the-Water". You all know how much Jameson, Schweppes White Lemonade and Turf mean to me and every glass I have or any turf I burn...

When our families came over from Ireland we had each other to remind us of who we are. Gus was all of that in one Great Man.
He was a fine example. He had joy in his heart and love in his smile. That made you feel like his child.

I am one of Gus's daughters, Mary Elizabeth and I just wanted to thank all of you who have and will write in this guest book. Dad was the most wonderful father anyone could hope for. We were so lucky to have him. The emptiness we now feel is unbearable as he was such an important and major part of our everyday. Dad was loving, kind, thoughtful, caring, funny, and full of wisdom. He shared and taught us his great love of God and kept our Irish traditions strong. There is no one like him,...

To the Casey Family,

I am thankful that I was able to meet a true Irish Gentleman.

I can't recall ever being around Gus and not seeing him smile! My favorite memory will be of Thanksgiving 2010 with Gus & the Casey family. Great People, great food, loud Irish music, and a big smile on Gus's face! Also, how can you forget the traditional family book of "What are you thankful for".

I will honor Gus and always remember him when I am wearing my Flat Irish...

To Kevin, Karen and Family,

I never had the pleasure of meeting Gus personally, but have heard so many wonderful stories of his love of life and family, of his travels and his strength and courage.

Losing those we love can be unbearable, but know that he will continue to live in your hearts forever and that the memories you cherish can never be taken from you.

Though we couldn't be there, please accept my arms of comfort.

To Kevin and Karen, you have my deepest sympathy. I am so sorry for your loss.

As the days and weeks pass, and as you return to life's routine, may you continue to feel comforted by the love and support of family and friends.

To Marty & Family,
Very sorry for your loss, I remember your Dad as a Kid, He was one of the most kind hearted and respecful people I knew. You and your family are in our thought's and prayer's.
