Dear Helen, Michael, Mark and Rosemary, This guestbook doesn't have the space for me to even begin to do justice to a memorial to your husband/father. I have and hold the greatest affection for him. In 1977 he truly rescued me from a horrific summer job at a large, local car dealership. I grew up with Augie Lepore as my neighbor, and throughout my life I always called him Mr. Lepore. Finally, when I got to be about 50, he told me one day that I could just call him "Augie" instead of "Mr. Lepore". However, I never could stop calling him Mr. Lepore. The one thing I knew about him is that he loved to work in his yard. After reading about his life, I don't know where he found the time to even do that. Augie was one of the kindest members that I met when I first began working for the Connecticut Association of Land Surveyors. He always had a smile and was more than willing to be helpful in any way.
