One of my favorite lines in any book I've read is found at the end of "All the King's Men." The narrator says that he is "the son of a million fathers." Dr. Capers has always been a father to me. The power in his eyes and the thunder of his laugh are qualities of his I've told my children about. Our world has lost a wonderful man today.
