Augustus Joseph Masefield, 92, a 50-year resident of East Braintree, Massachusetts, a civil engineer for Bethlehem Steel Corporation and General Dynamics at the Fore River Shipyard in Quincy, Massachusetts, until his retirement, died at Colonial Rehabilitation and Nursing Center in Weymouth, Massachusetts, on Wednesday, October 11, 2000. Private catholic prayer services will be held with burial at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree. Visiting hours are being omitted. Arrangements are by the Mortimer N. Peck-Russell Peck Funeral Home, Braintree.
