As an OU fan I always loved watching Austin play. The emotion he played with was unreal. I will never forget the day I heard about his passing. My heart sank. As a father I tried to imagine how I would feel, I couldn't bare it. My thoughts and prayers have gone out to the Box family every day since then. I wish you peace and comfort in the days and years to come.

Dear Craig and Gail, I write this the day before the season opener of the 2011 season. I lost my beautiful daughter, Steffanie,in 2002 in a car accident when she was 24. Although you will never be able to fill the large loss in your heart, the day will come when you will be able to talk about Austin with a smile on your face and not tears in your eyes. I was deeply saddend the day of Austin's death, knowing the hurt you were going through. I now take Steffanie's son to every OU game I can...

To The Box Family : Today is Austin's Day, August 10th. I know that he is watching over you and loving you with his huge heart. I know how hard Birthdays are when you are without your Child, and your other children are without their Brother. I have nothing that can make it better, If I did, I would ask GOD please to give Austin back to you for many more years. I am here for you to talk to, cry with, anything I can do to lend support. I am thinking and praying for you today as I always am....

I have written once before when Austin first passed away. I wanted to offer my condolences one more time to the Box family and friends and of course the Sooner Nation as well. I am a life long Sooner fan and that will never change. Austin was my favorite player of all and I really miss him and will continue to through all the future games. It will never be the same without him, but I have no doubt that he is in excellent hands and is being very well taken care of.

May the Sooners...

Austin was known for his kindness, compassion and huge heart. It made him the kind of friend and teammate that everyone loved and respected.

May the Box family be comforted in knowing that Austin is at peace and will never forgotten. The Sooner Nation will always keep Austin in our hearts and memories forever.

Vicki, Tulsa Oklahoma

To the Box family: May the love of family, friends and the Sooner Nation carry you through your grief.
