Father Austin Conterno

Father Conterno, you were an absolute delight to know and you brought so much peace and caring with you. You were greatly admired and you will be sadly missed.

Ciao Father Conterno, remember you at one dinner with the Piemontesi of northern California singing Piemontesi Songs. And again you seated outside of a cafè in Monforte d'Alba enjoying a glass of wine.
Look down at us from the sky and bless us with Don Bosco.

We will miss you more then you will ever know. You were so kind and loving and sweet. We are so fortunate to have celebrated your early birthday with you. I am very honored to have known Fr Conterno. Seeing him walk around the "Hood" gave me a special feeling. He came into the bakery that I worked just to look at the showcases, visited the gym when there was an event, and enjoyed attending at his masses. RIP Fr. Conterno, you are definitely missed.

What an amazing priest, Salesian, Italian, and (adopted) San Franciscan! Fr. Conterno, now you get to celebrate your 100th birthday, not with us, but with your dear mom, dad, siblings, and with Don Bosco himself in our beautiful Salesian Garden upstairs.
