I worked with Austin for many years in Newark, New Jersey and always found him to be quite the gentleman and always fun to be around. He took pride in his work and was always there to lend a helping hand. Understanding, funny, passionate, pride in whatever he did are only a few of his qualities. He made working there a pleasure. A good man. Rest In Peace my friend.

I worked with Austin when he had the studio in Newark, N.J. He was a good friend and one of the nicest people I knew. Rest in piece my good friend.

Many words describe Austin--kind, gentle, dignified, professional--but to me he was simply one of the nicest friends I have ever known. God bless.

Austin combined a keen intellect and rare talent with a quick and hearty sense of humor. He'll be missed by all of us who knew him at NJB.

Austin was a great television director who brought NJBell and later Bell Atlantic out of the dark ages of visual communication. Austin also was a very funny, literate and gentle person; we need more of him in this world.

To the Faccone Family ~~
I was saddened to hear of your great loss. My departed husband, Ed Crum, spoke highly of Austin during his years at New Jersey Bell. Hold on to your memories, and let them guide you during this time of sadness.
Blessings ~~
