Austin Edward Jones

Liz and Cleve, we are so glad to have known Austin and Marion, two of the best hearts and minds we have known. I was one of Austin's grad students and he helped me in some of that sensory deprivation research he contributed to. But mostly, we enjoyed the two visits to them in about 1982. Austin introduced us to video games and joined us to explore the Boyce Thompson Arboretum, and he asked Camille to show him how to make a pie crust. I will Always hold dear the many memories when I was growing up of spending many wonderful times both at the Jones house, and them at ours!!
We got our first couple cats from them. We had the grapefruit trees and they the orange trees. So the families each adopted one tree from the others property. Our families went together to Rocky Point, Mexico. He had I think the first flip up sun-glasses, that I called bat-glasses. They came to visit me in the hospital numerous times...
