Not sure what to say?

My sister-in-law is Susan Leach Moody and is one of Peters' sisters. I didn't get to know Peter to well, and we live a long way for each other during much of our lives. However, I know he was very loved by his family and children, and other children loved being involved with his love of the outdoors. He will forever be missed by those that were close to him. Hugs to the family, Jodie Moody Miller

So sorry to learn this. Couldn´t agree with what Chris Thomas said more. He gave me my first bike that was his before. He taught me how to ride it. His father gave my kids their first set of wheels, a beautiful handmade little red wagon. What a great person and what a great family. RIP

Peter... may the wind be always at your back and the open road lay smooth before you.

Cary and I are saddened to hear of the sudden death of Peter. I got to know Peter through coaching cross country skiing and through our kids connections. Peter was always full of life and adventure and he made coaching and trips to the mountains for ski races and training fun. He was never shy about expressing his views on skiing and I remember well the time he insisted on the start time at the state meet at Tea Cup Lake being delayed so coaches and parents could rake and shovel fresh...

Many memories and ran many miles with Peter.

Peter was the neighborhood big brother. He was kind, gentle, fun and surprisingly competetive. Riverdale was magical and Catlin was confusing, but Peter was our trail guide on the path to adulthood. As is his way he has hiked on ahead to make sure the route is safe. We'll meet you at the campfire. My sincere condolences to his family. Thank you for sharing him with the rest of us.

Peter was a couple of years older than me, and I knew him from grade school and high school. He treated younger kids like me with kindness and respect. We both played soccer and I idolized him as what a true athlete should be in terms of sportsmanship, spirit and enthusiasm. I wish I had known him later in life because I think we shared a lot of the same passions. This world desperately needs more people like Peter, my condolences.

Dear Susan and Sallie, You know how sad I am for you and your family. Peter was such an interesting and caring person. I'd like to have a tree planted in his name - somewhere. Where would you suggest? I'll be in touch and I have been putting Peter in my prayers.........Love, Jodie Miller

I have so many great memories of growing up with Peter, especially during our time together at GKL Ranch and at Bowdoin. Peter was like a big brother to me... fun and full of adventure. I will always remember swimming with Peter in the Deschutes, his climbing tips at Smith Rock, hiking together up Mt. Bachelor with Bowdoin friends, and more. My sincere condolences to all the Leach family for your tremendous loss.
