I'm new to AZ and was looking something up when Mrs Arpaio's Obituary popped up. Being a long time admirer of her husband and his career, I read the Obit to discover she is his wife. I have great sadness for Sheriff Arpaio to lose the love of his life as well as the children losing their beloved mother. God Bless Mrs Arpaio and keep her in His white light. My sincerest condolences to the family.

Heartfelt and prayerful condolences from the Chicago Police Chaplains. At the request of Bill Whelehan, Ava will be remembered at the next Police Mass.
In the meantime, may family and friends know the healing touch of our all-loving, all-merciful God! [Police Chaplains Ministry: www.ChicagoPCM.org or 312/738-7588]

A true lady who was married to a true gentleman. We were lucky to have met Joe in downtown Chandler and had our picture with him. May you rest in peace Ava. You were a beautiful lady with a great family.
