Not sure what to say?

Ava was a dear friend to my late first husband's family, Mat and Millicent Reynolds. I knew her for almost 50 years and especially through our membership together in the P.E.O. sisterhood. I send love to Joe and their family, with many fond memories.

I taught with Ava at Salazar Elementary and she was an inspiration to everyone there. Her positive attitude and bubbly personality were contagious. She was a very special person who will be fondly remembered by many. My sympathy and prayers to her family.

Mrs. Beard was my 5th grade Teacher at Salazar, she was hard, but she made learning fun. I was very fortunate to have her. She will be missed. My condolence to the family.

I will never forget what a wonderful teacher you were. You taught me the joy of reading in First Grade. Thank you so much we will miss you.

I was fortunate enough to have met Ava Beard a couple of months ago. She immediately charmed me with her smiling face and warmth. We spoke of my mother and father. Ava and my mother belonged to the same sewing club. I remember my mother speaking of Ava kindly. During the 1970’s, my folks, Tom and Betty Goodrich, and the Beards’ often square danced together. How fortunate I am to have met two lovely people that also shared a part of my parent’s lives. Joe, my heart is filled with sorrow,...

My sympathies to your family. I went to Salazar (1964-70) and remember Mrs. Beard well. She was always so kind and friendly. She helped make Salazar a very special place for the kids who attended.
