Not sure what to say?

When I was first hired at the program he was one of my first friends. Getting into the office at 5 in the morning I always knew that Mr. Avery would be sitting at his desk and ready to talk about whatever was going on. Over the time that I was blessed with knowing him he turned into one of my most valued friends, mentors, and one of the only people I know that did not hold back and always gave it to me straight no matter what. I miss him everyday when I come into the office in the morning now...

Summer Commissioning in August 2023 a couple of days before I retired.

The last Summer Commissioning Ceremony in August 2023. It was held at the Capital and we all gathered in a private room to celebrate the students who Commissioned that day. In the picture it is Avery, 1LT Jackson, and myself a coworker of Averys just before I retired. When I think of working at UT Avery will for ever come to mind and I will hear his voice and how he would draw my name out to get a smile from me.

He was my battle buddy fort ord California and Germany 3/61ADA 1984-1987 last time I saw him been looking for him for 20 years found him searching on Google heart fell found him he gone but not forgot see you on the other side my friend

I want to give my condolences to all the family and friends who lost a great man and friend. Avery Flemings and I served together in the 101st Airborne Division (Air Assault) Alpha Battery 2D BATTALION 44TH AIR DEFENSE ARTILLERY REGIMENT DURING Southwest Asia (Gulf War) Desert Storm and Desert Sheild in Defense of Saudi Arabia and Liberation and Defense of Kuwait in the U.S. Army from August 1990 to August 1991. We met and forged a strong friendship. During and after we deployed, Avery was...

My deepest condolences to Avery´s family and friends during this time of bereavement. Extended blessings of comfort for his daughter and granddaughter. Sadness has been upon me since hearing about Avery´s transition to heaven. He was truly a great man and friend in so many ways. I first met Avery when we both worked at NC A&T State University where we became friends. I moved back to Pennsylvania in 2013 before he moved to Texas. I thought of him often over the years remembering our fun times...

May love of friends and family carry you through your grief.

My Deepest Sympathy goes out to family. We grew up together as family and he always had that smile on his face. I called him to help my daughter when she was in college with ROTC , it was nothing but a word. Always was such a nice person. RIP

Condolences to the family of Avery Dale Fleming. Words can't express the loss of your brother, uncle, and friend. May God lift your spirits as you go through this this difficult time. Sincerely, Linda Turner and Alma Jones
