Read MoreCondolences to the Neaves Family. I have a memory of playing tag football in Avery's back yard, and then going inside to watch ACC Basketball on Black and white TV. Duke had a strong team then, and I became a fan. Guess Avery went in different direction. Think that was when we were both in 4th Grade. Remember Avery as a very bright elementary school classmate.

He was a kind and gentle soul. I still remember when he run a kickoff back 97 yds for EHS vs Boone.
