Not sure what to say?

Over the past four years I have thought of Avril's smile and the love she shared with me. I pray Avril's beautiful example to persevere lives on through her children & grandchildren. Linda Zeiger

I´ve been trying to find your mom for several years. Reverend Laughlin and his family rented a summer cottage from my aunt in Lake Leelanau Michigan back in the 50s. Avril and I became fast friends. She came to Fort Thomas for spring breaks and I visited Frankfort on alternate ones. In those long ago days we hosted Sunday night sings at the lake and Avril was often asked to dance which she did so well. She was an important part of my life back then and I carry with me a host of memories. If...

My heart is heavy with the news of this loss. There are many connections for me to this family and many warm memories that I will forever cherish. Hal,to all of your family I offer my heartfelt condolences and best wishes. Avril was a beautiful spirit and her light will shine in your children and grandchildren for years to come. May God comfort all of you during this difficult

It was always a pleasure to great Avril when she attended Rotary events with Hal. My sympathies to the entire family.

Avril and I were best friends starting in 3rd grade through school. I attended her Dad's church, 1st Presbytrian in Frankfort. We took piano lessons from the church organist and played many piano duets. Avril's mom taught us the Irish jig and we performed, in costume in several venues. We were cheerleaders together in high school. So many wonderful memories. So sorry for those family membrs who were left behind. I am sending prayers to you all. Children, grandchildren, and Hal, "Skipper."...

Avril was a wonderful person. I grew up with her in the 1st Presbyterian Church of Frankfort KY where her father was pastor. It was, and is always difficult growing up as a pastor's child, but Avril handled all that with grace and charm. I am sure that her family will miss her terribly, but she was truly a gift from God. May she rest in peace.

Avril’s brother David and I were best friends. We were always hanging out together at the Laughlin house, either collecting fossils or camping out with friends in the back yard. Avril was so easy to be around. No matter what kind of mischievous behavior happened, Avril never scolded us or told on us. We all respected her and enjoyed her incredible smile!! ❤
