Not sure what to say?

Uncle Trent was a teen ager when I was born, and he started his internship the same time I started my nurses training. We were close. I have many fond memories of times with him, but I remember mostly his love and compassion for people and he made everyone feel special and loved. God is love. You could see God in him. Aunt Dee is a very special person too, and she was truly a help mate for him.
God bless you all, Aunt Dee, Butch, Larry and Jerry.

Our entire family loved Doctor Cooper and his family. Our thoughts and prayers are with you. Doc will leave a hole, but it will be filled with the love that he showed his friends, family and patients. My experiences with him as a Dr. included a broken wrist when I was five and a split chin when I was about to graduate from HS. Both times Doc took care of me on his day off (Sorry), but there was no one else that I would have rather had patch me up.

I always loved to visit Uncle Trent and Aunt Dee's when we were kids. I loved his bear skin rug and we always came home with a frog and cattails. But it was his jovial spirit and warmth I remember best. I never knew of all his other accomplishments until recently. But I always knew he was a caring man. I hope the kids in my life will remember me as such.

Doctor Cooper was a great man. He brought my brother, Keith and I into the world. I will never forget getting a shot from him as a child in his home and staring at this big old bear rug in his living room. It kind of scared me at first. But at the time, I probably needed a little fear in my life. He was respected not only for his professionalism but also by his christian walk. He made a lasting impression on me in the way that I look at my health. My condolences to his family, especially for...

Uncle Trent gave us a legacy of love, integrity, and service. May his example continue to influence our lives. I know, I want to be more like him.

Our sympathy to your family in the loss of Dr. Cooper. He did so many good things for so many people that he will be long remembered. We have not lived in Roanoke for 30 years but still remember him fondly.

I grew up with Jerry and Larry Cooper, and lived directly across the street from Dr. Cooper's office on Eighth Street in Roanoke. Dr. Cooper was our family doctor for many, many years. He was such a warm and caring person and a very good friend of our family. My prayers and thoughts are with each of you. (Dee, Butch, Larry and Jerry)you will ALWAYS be a wonderful part of my childhood memories. With deepest sympathy,
Lois Miller-Pelz

I got to know Doc Cooper at the North Indiana Annual Conference that I attended a number of years ago. I was a "rookie", and he and Dee took me under their wings and guided me through those days. I so appreciated his constant encouragement. And of course, that encouragement lasted far beyond the end of the conference. I'm a better person having known Doc.
