When I was all of 18 years old (1971) Ken became a major influence in my life. I had helped to found a free clinic in Bethesda, MD and Ken was a volunteer physician in said clinic. His interest in the medical needs of young people had also led him to join Rev. Jim Macdonell of Bethesda in creating Karma House, Inc., a non-profit that sought to provide family therapy-based residential services for youth with drug-related problems.
