Dr. Cobbs was my initial attending/mentor during my first month of training after graduation from medical school. Though 14 years have passed since Dr Cobbs has passed , his unique skills as a caring physician reside in my happy memories. I also recall the how the brotherhood of docs that Dr Logue primarily chose were all superb bedside docs and in their own singular ways , were very connected. I recall Dr Ed

I trained at Emory in the 1980's in Cardiology and still recall lessons learned at the foot of the bed from Dr. Cobbs.

I knew Dr. Cobbs through my work as an Emory nurse. I remember him as a superb physician and brilliant teacher. He was so caring with his patients. He would sit at the foot of the bed and talk with them, and really listen to their concerns. When one had Dr. Cobbs' attention, he was fully engaged. He made you feel as if you mattered to him. He had a wry sense of humor and loved it when you "got the joke". He will be missed by all of us in the Emory community.

I had the honor and privilege of knowing Dr. Cobbs at The Emory Clinic for many years. He was always an extremely caring doctor and made sure that his patients got the very best care available. He was also a wonderful, soft-spoken gentleman. I will miss him greatly.
