B. G. Walker Obituary

ODESSA B. G. "BO" Walker, 78, a longtime resident of Odessa passed away Sunday, September 9, 2012 at the Hospice House.

He was born February 4, 1934 in Ethel, Mississippi to James Gordon & Edna Lee (Thompson) Walker.

He married Robbye Sue Ball on March 12, 1956 in Hobbs, NM. He was a service contractor. Our wonderful Husband/Dad entered heaven on the Lord's Day because worshiping his Lord was one of his favorite things to do. He was an excellent provider, husband, dad, teacher, brother and friend. He enjoyed life, his family and friends. He approached every day that God allowed him to be a part of, as an adventure!!! He loved to sing, play the harmonica and guitar and worship his Jesus. Spending time with his family was his favorite hobby. Fishing was also a love for him. He was loved by many and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by his parents, brother, W. H. Walker, sister, Mable W. Bridges and (2) brothers-in-law.

He is survived by his wife, Robbye Walker of Odessa, sons, Keith Walker & wife Marie of Odessa, Kelly Walker of Odessa, daughter, Pam Walker of Odessa, brothers, James Lynn Walker & wife Louise of Hobbs, NM, Hugh Thompson Walker & wife Margie of Angie, Louisiana, sister, Sallie J. Gill of Pearl, MS, (7) grandchildren, (8) great-grandchildren, & (7) great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 11, 2012 at Hubbard-Kelly Funeral Home. Bo was a great friend and one you could count on to be there for you. He was there when my husband was saved and told Howard, "I've got the baptistry water warming for you". We will miss him. Love to all his family.

Robbie & Walker family,
There are no words to describe how much we loved Bo. We will miss him, but we know that he's smiling down on us. Didn't make our fishin' trip but I know he's holding a spot in heaven. We love you and will be praying for the family.
