Our Yell Squad (1980-81) always had such respect for Barbie and her lifelong devotion to WSU Cheer. She set the highest standards for cheerleading and every one that followed her was well aware of her impressive legacy. She will be missed by her legion of WSU admirers and of course, never forgotten.

Barbie was an inspiration to everyone she met! As a family friend when growing up in Vancouver, I was in awe of her sparkling personality and her many talents. Later, we connected as Pi Phi sisters. and shared many Beta - Pi Phi stories. My thoughts and prayers go out to her siblings and families. With warm memories... Annette LaLonde Balcom

Barbie, what a bright light you brought with you into this world! I cherished our friendship through the years........starting as Pi Phi Pledge sisters at Wazzu & throughout both our lives. You were spunky, fun, giving & a spirit so full of love. Your faith was strong & so admirable as you lived it daily with your shining example. I wished we could have cloned you as the world today could use more Barbies! Rest in peace dear girl.......you were loved by me & Impactful to so many.

Our dear Barbie will be so missed. Her contagious spirit and deep faith have been an inspiration for many of us. My sister and I were so excited when she pledged Pi Phi at WSU. She was like a little sister to us all through college. She three herself into every activity she was in and gave all she had to so many activities and people. How blessed we all are to have known her. She changed so many lives just by being connected to so many. I know she was welcomed into heaven. She will continue...

Barbie was such a beautiful person in every way. She was a light in every room she walked into. I knew Barbara as a sorority sister and I admired her greatly. She was sweet and smart, diligent and supremely capable. No one could ask for more from a friend or a sister. We have all lost one of our best. Thanks, Barbie, for your shining example.
